Lead Operator - Full-time

Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Lead Operator-1st Shift with the Sterile Procedure Tray “SPT” Division in Waukegan, IL. The Lead Operator will support the production team and the manufacturing process through operational systems. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working individual with a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional communication skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” entrepreneurial attitude.

JOB SUMMARY:

Execute daily priorities to ensure: orders are picked to satisfy the requirements of productions work orders, sample orders, and intercompany raw material transfers, raw material is received in a timely fashion to satisfy customer demand, or finished product is shipped for distribution

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able to delegate work to warehouse operators and monitor operator productivity based on performance management program (Pro-Track)
• Able to work along with operators to accomplish daily goals.
• Provide material to internal customers based on business needs
• Able to read, analyze, and execute system generated reports, hot sheets, and emails. Follow up is a must.
• Use AS400 system to view our inventory
• Monitor 6 S program and Safety.

Qualification

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent.

ADDITIONAL

• Previous warehouse experience required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Team player that can communicate with leads on current shift as well as other two shifts.
• Detailed orientated, good organizational skills.
• Able to take direction from Supervisor.
• Prior experience in distribution or receiving.
• AS400, RF & MS Office experience required.
• Previous leadership experience
• Certified forklift operator required.
• Ability to work well with others in order to accomplish team objectives.
• Must have high sense of urgency.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Certified on wave and order picker.
