Goodwill NCW is seeking a full-time, experienced e-commerce web developer with strong development skills in designing, coding and modifying Magento 2 websites hosted in a multi-server Azure retail environment, from layout to function, according to leadership guidance and specifications. This person must work closely with internal and external teams to maintain a visually appealing site that features user-friendly design, clear navigation, and optimum functionality. This position is an onsite position with the Information Technology team, located at the Menasha Campus on Appleton Road.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a strong relationship through regular exposure and collaboration with business stakeholders, executive leadership, and vendor contracted teams as well as the ability to scope and apply critical thinking and expertise to many interesting technical opportunities and challenges.
  • Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, general web development functions and standards, and implementation of caching and other scripts/tools for optimal browsing and purchasing experiences
  • Highly focused on maintaining, improving, and developing a retail environment that offers positive customer experiences throughout the product lifecycle: product searches, shopping cart, discounts, returns, shipping, and payments.
  • Monitoring the multi-server environment for performance, security, and uptime availability and making immediate decisions to enhance and correct issues or collaborate with others for solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills to professionally interact with technical and non-technical leadership and teams.
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with technical teams to maintain the highest level of security, documentation, and implementation by following web development best practices and standards in testing and deployment, along with compliance with industry security requirements.
  • Conduct oneself with integrity and honesty at all levels of engagement with customers and business teams.

What I must bring:

  • Required: Magento 2, PHP, HTML5, Javascript frameworks (such as Knockout.js, react.js or similar), CSS, MySQL
  • Preferred: Server management administration experience in a Linux environment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an ecommerce environment, with at least 1 year of experience using advanced PHP development in Magento 2
  • Experience installing, configuring and extending Magento, with custom code, API integrations or extensions such as uMarketplace, AvaTax, ElasticSearch
  • Experience with payment systems integrations in a PCI-compliance environment
  • Experience with Linux system monitoring tools such as Maldet and Samhain
