Springfield, Ohio custom auto shop seeks a full-time Assistant Body Shop/Mechanic.
Pay $10.75/hr to start.
1st Shift Monday-Friday.
Temp-to-perm, with significant pay raise upon permanent hire.
Duties include:
Assist in performing both routine and involved automotive repairs and maintenance.
Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, and wheel bearings.
Fit and/or weld replacement parts into place, grind down welds to smooth them.
Sand auto body areas to be painted, masking bumpers, windows, trim and other parts to protect them from over-spray.
Assist with priming and painting repaired/replaced surfaces.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Requirements include:
Some previous auto body and mechanic experience desirable.
High school diploma or GED.
Prescreen testing required.
Protective gear required (steel-toed shoes, safety glasses).
Ability to stand continuously and lift up to 50 pounds.
