Job Summary

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position is located at DLA Distribution Hill, Utah

This position will be in support of the Optimization Plan re-warehousing and stowing material between 845B and 845H Bays. This position requires a Secret Clearance. The position is not expected to exceed twelve months. At the conclusion of this project, successful internal candidate(s) will have the opportunity to return to their same position or a position with equivalent status, pay and benefits prior to the temporary promotion. Re-warehousing and stowing of all materiel will be performed IAW DLA SOPs:

+ 4145.03, Re-warehousing

+ 4145.002, Warehousing Stow (Putaway)

+ 5200.04, Classified and Sensitive Stow (Putaway)

+ 5200.08, Classified and Sensitive Rewarehousing

Performs range of inventory checks and material inspections within 845B and 845H Bays. Due to the nature of the materiel being moved, AECOM intends 100% accuracy in performed services. In order to ensure positive inventory of all materiel, classified materiel locations will receive 100% quality control inspection and physical inventory; pilferable materiel moved from 845B will receive random sampling and location surveys. Inventory actions will be completed with DLA Distribution SOP's 4140.13, Location Survey and 4140.25, Physical Inventory Control of Classified and Sensitive Materiel.

Evaluates process performance through use of sampling techniques to help insure programs meet prescribed quality levels. Inspects suspect items for identity and condition. Requires use of a variety of measurement tools and frequent daily travel from one work area to another to meet process needs. Works under the supervision of a designated Lead, Supervisor or Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:

Visually inspects material for identity and condition.

Make necessary changes to the accountable inventory system as required.

Performs physical count of assets, research count discrepancies, and recommend changes as required.

Performs Shelf-Life inspection of assets in storage and make changes as required.

Performs weight and measurement actions of assets in storage.

Re-warehouse material as needed.

Performs location accuracy checks as required.

Operates MHE.

Prepares reports and charts as required.

Assists in the maintenance of current files of all technical documents, instructions, procedures and requirements necessary for implementation of an effective inventory program.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED required. Minimum eighteen months experience in material handling, supply, distribution, inspection, QA, or related processes. Must be able to use DSS and other automated distribution systems used at DLA. Must be able to follow requirements of MIL-STD 129 and DLA Manuals or other directives as required. Must be licensed and experienced in the use of MHE. Must have valid driver's license. Position requires a Security Clearance.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The individual and supervisor assure that the degree of risk is reduced to the lowest level. Work involves repetitive motions and may involve sitting and/or standing for long periods of time. Work in this position may require the incumbent be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead and/or repetitively.
