JOB TITLE: Sr Manager, Internal Reporting, Governance
JOB SUMMARY
The Sr Mgr, Reporting Governance is responsible for assiting with managing Charter’s financial reporting governance strategy, including working with various business partners to report business results in a meaningful way and drive alignment, consistency and accuracy.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the corporate financial reporting hierarchy, including periodic review of Charter’s financial reporting governance process and management of the chart of accounts
Monitor and ensure compliance with financial reporting governance policies, processes and controls to ensure accurate and consistent financial reporting
Evaluate the necessity and accurancy of financial hierarchy and chart of accounts changes resulting from various business and industry changes, including business structure changes and acquisitions
Maintain the applicable definition documentation; and manage the process to ensure all additions and changes are vetted, aligned, and effectively managed and communicated
Responsible for the effective operation of the Hyperion Finance enviroment, including working with system administrators in both finance and and operations to align reporting and ensure reported financial information is accurate
Support internal audit processes and oversee SOX documentation related to financial governance and the Finance Hyperion environment
Support new system implementation and system conversions
Support budgeting and forecasting activities
Lead non-routine special projects
Perform other duties as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills / Abilities and Knowledge
Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze and interpret financial information

Knowledge of Hyperion products, particularly Essbase
Knowledge of cable television products and services preferred
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience
