Job Description

The Major Accounts Analyst will partner with the VP of Major Accounts, the Sr. Strategy Executive & the Business Intelligence team to introduce and maintain sales performance and Major Account financial reporting. Potential activities include establishing a method of measuring customer profitability, analyzing Major Account team efficiencies and developing a dashboard and/or suite of Major Account reports. The Major Accounts Analyst is responsible for interrogating data prior to publishing accurate information used in the decision making process.

 

Responsibilities

  • Development of reporting suite for Major Account team performance.
  • Development of reporting suite for Major Account profitability.
  • Development of reporting suite for Major Account product performance.
  • Develop center of excellence for Major Account reporting.
  • Work with other analysts in the Information Center of Excellence and the Office of Strategic Management to consolidate reports, ensure consistency of information and overall data integrity.
  • Maintain fluency of Major Account strategies and develop key performance indicators.
  • Build trust with the Vice President of Major Accounts and offer critical insight on strategies, KPIs and goals.
  • Partner with the Director of Business Intelligence to develop and provide tools to support Major Account initiatives.
  • Offer critical insight for the Data Governance department and the Changeover & Acquisition Management Program department.
  • Aid the Director of the Information Center of Excellence and the Director of Business Intelligence in establish project ROIs and enhancing the BI roadmap.
  • Ad hoc retail reporting and other analyses as directed

 

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years working in a data analyst role, ideally in a complex data environment.
  • MBA from an accredited institution (or other advanced degree in economics, mathematics, finance, marketing intelligence or business intelligence) or equivalent experience required CFA accepted.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Demonstrated and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated and advanced proficiency with BI tools preferably COGNOS.
  • Advanced experience with database systems at an enterprise level.
  • Demonstrated experience with data governance projects.
  • Strong internal and external relation-building skills.
  • Uncompromising integrity and intellectual honesty possesses courage and conviction to speak their position.
  • Demonstrated previous experience reporting to senior executives.
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • High level of commercial and financial acumen.
