OVERVIEW:

This role provides a unique opportunity to drive sales through our corporate brand site, Amazon, and other key channel partners. This role will be responsible for creating new items developing and optimizing SEO content, conducting keyword and competitive research, reporting and analysis. Additionally, this role will work with appropriate departments on new products and changes to ensure all content is complete with required data in addition to tracking progress of adds/changes/deletes to websites and performing catalog maintenance to websites including description changes, image updates, and item deletions. 

This position will enhance the customer online experience. You will develop and implement e-commerce online improvement projects in accordance with the strategic goals of the company. You will be responsible for the oversight and creative management of the open source platforms for the company in the U.S.  As a tech savvy e-commerce marketing professional, you will lead activities to improve and update the customer’s online experience. You should have an understanding of what would appeal to customers and use an innovative approach to increase customer traffic.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for leading department ecommerce initiatives with a specific focus on revenue growth, repeat purchases, customer retention and new customer acquisition
  • Oversee process and operational support needed to meet customer needs and to add customer value online, including developing and promoting key marketing strategies and lead generation opportunities
  • Leverage analytics, web tools and voice of customer research to support ongoing changes to improve the customer experience and key performance indicators
  • Enhancing e-Commerce marketing by increasing web visibility and traffic 
  • Help develop and forecast quarterly targets and own the ecommerce budget and P&L while delivering on specific KPI's
  • Lead the planning and execution of the marketing strategies to promote sales to online customers
  • Assemble resources, tools, and intelligence for measurement and reporting including analytics and dashboards
  • Responsible for the overall marketing experience with an expertise in SEO (search engine optimization) and digital marketing
  • Analyze strategic marketing plan and performance using KPI’s
  • Create and manage product and marketing content for customer and company platforms
  • Knowledge and experience in working with Amazon fulfillment and the Vendor Central platform
  • Constant communication between all parties to ensure all Team Members are current on processes, expectations, and implementation of new procedures
  • Perform item set up for ecommerce customer new items: item descriptions, dimensions, pricing, images, advanced content, links and item hierarchy dimensions, pricing, images, advanced content, links and item hierarchy
  • Provide web descriptions for new product announcements at the request of the trade marketing or brand marketing teams
  • Provide the correct new item images for upload to customer websites
  • Track status of new items and monitor progress until product is fully updated on customer sites
  • Develop targeted product copy for use on brand websites and partner websites
  • Create copy through consolidation of product, category, and consumer information
  • Work to understand the product or category needs through discussions with or input from Product Marketing, Customer Reviews, Customer Service, etc.
  • Evaluate copy based upon consumer feedback, product improvements, and market dynamics
  • Track and update product images and additional content, update as necessary
  • Work in tandem with internal customers, writing & editing creative materials for brand website content, customer website content
  • Submit design requests for infographics, imagery, photographs, and video
  • Pull weekly performance data
  • Foster relationships with other departments that provide and use data
  • Report new item status and web site content updates on a weekly basis
  • Remain up to date and aware of latest trends related to ecommerce copy and advertising

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, English, Business, Computer Science or related field
  • 4-5 years’ experience in retail e-commerce, online marketing or related role preferred
  • Strong understanding of online marketing strategies, fluent in development optimization techniques to deliver the best user experiences in the most technically efficient manner, and knowledge of ecommerce processes
  • Ability to understand and optimize the customer experience. Understanding of how content, design, and user interface work together to create an optimal user experience is preferred
  • Exceptional project management, partnering and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of Omniture, CoreMetrics or Google Analytics reporting suites
  • Fundamental understanding of HTML and web design principles
  • Passion for ecommerce

  • Team oriented with strong organizational and planning skills
