Break Order Filler

In our Ace Hardware Distribution Centers (RSC), our employees are the most important tools of our trade.

Our RSC is looking for candidates to join our team as a Warehouse Specialist in our BREAK ORDER FILL Department. Working in our fast-paced distribution facility, you will fill retail store owners' orders while meeting Ace performance standards. As a BREAK ORDER FILLER, you will push a cart with totes up and down aisles, pick items off of shelves, and move full totes from the cart to conveyor for transport to offload.

Additional responsibilities include:

Prepare a push cart by loading empty totes on the lower and waist levels, setting up the RF scanning equipment, and pushing the cart to start the order filling process.

Push the cart up and down the aisles during the order filling tasks.

Stop at indicated locations, pick items out of the bins, scan the items, and put the items into a tote on the cart.

Stop at indicated locations, pick a case of items out of the bin, scan the items/case, and put the item into a tote on the cart. (i.e., Fertilizer Pellets)

Slide filled totes off of the cart onto the conveyor and lift filled totes from lower level on cart up and onto the conveyor.

Climb the ladder attached to the cart to reach overhead bins and pick items necessary for order fulfillment.

Use a box hook to pull items forward in bins in order to pick the items.

Toss empty cases or cartons up into the overhead conveyor.

Perform picking duties on an upper level area of the department and have to climb stairs to reach this area. Employees pick on only one department level per shift.

Verify filling location, unit pack, and correct number of pieces to be filled

The ideal candidates will meet the following job requirements :

Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 55 lbs repeatedly throughout an 8 hour shift and mandatory overtime.

Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.

Must have good attention to detail.

Required to be at least 18 years of age, legal to work in the US, and have completed a high school degree or equivalent.
