The Job

The primary responsibility of the Senior Auditor role is to assist Ace's management to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organization's risk management, control, and governance processes. Focus will be on performing financial and operational audits for all corporate departments and distribution centers. In addition, this role will conduct periodic audits related to our International, wholesale, and retail lines of business.

What you'll do
  • Complete assigned audit engagements timely while following standard audit methodology, including distribution of the final audit report and subsequent follow-up of outstanding audit issues.
  • Compose and deliver oral and written communications (e.g. audit reports) aimed at all levels within the Ace organization.
  • Utilize various data mining and analytical skills to facilitate successful completion of assigned audit engagements and develop working knowledge of other types of audit tools to assist the department in improving the overall effectiveness of the group.
  • Develop team-oriented project management skills and consistently make suggestions to improve overall audit processes (e.g., workpaper documentation).
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge and understanding of GAAP as well as key auditing standards.
  • Enhance existing relationships with our audit clients by gaining a better understanding of overall business risk issues/concerns. Participate in non-audit related company activities to obtain this deeper understanding of business risk, thereby enriching our current relationships within the organization.
What you need to succeed
  • 1-4 years of Finance, Accounting, and Audit experience - including previous experience in documenting and evaluating financial/operational controls are required
  • Bachelor's Degree with focus in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required
  • Excellent written and presentation skills are required
  • Aptitude with technological applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, etc.) is required
  • Industry Certification (e.g. CPA, CIA, CFE) is preferred
  • Industry knowledge (e.g. distribution, retail, manufacturing) is preferred
