The Job

The Business Development and Analytics Manager will develop strategies for various markets via strong analytics and oversee all Stores for Sale while facilitating the successful transactions on behalf of Ace. He/she oversees organizing and resolving legal and financial matters related to these business transactions and real estate activities, as well as provide support to staff to ensure that transactions are performed according to buyer and seller agreements. Some of the Business Development and Analytics Manager's main functions also include keeping both seller and buyer at the negotiation table, monitoring liabilities, serving as the first point of contact for credit executives and bank associates, and interaction with real estate professionals, bank associates, and legal counsel as needed.

What you'll do
  • Work closely with the Regional Managers, District Managers, Market Development Managers to determine potential Ace and non-Ace stores for sale (A2A & A2C's) as well as determining potential buyers for each potential transaction.
  • Develop strategic direction and strategies for the development of markets around the country. Utilizing various data points to insure we are focused on the greatest opportunities. Work with MDM's to understand best methods and bringing forth key opportunities.
  • Coordination and management of the seller and potential buyer of hardware businesses databases.
  • Lead the process of selling and buying a store with both prospective sellers and buyers. Work diligently to keep both parties at the negotiation table until they reach agreement for the sell and purchase of the business. The goal is to reduce our atrophy by the continuation of these businesses via the successful sale of them and grow via B2C's.
  • Evaluate and recommend plans to identify potential stores for sale. Establishing opportunities for the field team by creating standards and tools to maximize growth opportunities through the continuation of existing Ace stores and the addition of non-Ace stores converting to Ace after the successful sale of that business.
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships with all key stakeholders including, but not limited to Retail Analytics, Retail Operations and with specific emphasis on the New Business, Multi-Store and Salesforce team members.
  • Provide tracking reports for all stores to be sold as well as all prospective buyers. The reporting will include detail information on all successful transactions.
  • Provide direction to the field team on the opportunities for stores to be bought and sold. Engaging the field team, providing resources, direction and ongoing support.
What you need to succeed
  • 5-7 years of transaction management, market research, franchise sales or support or similar
  • Commercial Real Estate transaction experience and knowledge
  • Strong Salesmanship skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field (Master's Degree as plus)
  • Visionary and Strategic planning and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and public communications skills
  • Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of the organization
  • Leadership aptitude
  • Salesforce working knowledge a plus
  • Analytical and inquisitive
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities
  • Thorough understanding of the Ace retail model a plus
