PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Working in a fast-paced distribution facility, providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks while ensuring the safety and security of the facility and assets by acting as a liaison between visitors and employees, representing the department through positive interactions with other departments, and ensuring adherence to security policies while meeting Ace performance standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES:

Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries. Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions. Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges, protecting assets and ensures safeness. This position may also require to perform First Responder duites.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provides clerical support to the Loss Prevention department Answers telephones and directs the called to the appropriate person. Will transfer a caller to a person's voice mailbox when the person is unavailable. Provides caller with company information such as address, directions to the facility, fax numbers, company website and other related information. Greets and directs visitors to the company. Takes and delivers messages for various personnel. Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building. Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail. Use computers, computer software and office equipment.

  • Requires repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over.
  • Requires being exact or highly accurate.
  • Requires being organized.
  • Moderate noise, conditions could include odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation.
WORK ACTIVITIES:
  • Must read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and be able to monitor CCTV.
  • Verifies trucks entering the secured yard.
  • Provides trainings to other employees.
  • Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours. Experience with CCTV preferred. Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary. CPR/First Aide Certified or able to obtain certification through company provided training.
