Ace Hardware International has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Material Handler! This is a unique position as it requires someone that can work in both the warehouse environment and also support the office. The job will require full functionality in the warehouse, including the ability to lead, direct and schedule tasks to meet deadlines. As our Lead Material Handler, you will move freight, stock or other materials and perform general labor. In addition, you will need to use and understand computer systems to properly receive returned product as inventory or damage.
Job responsibilities include:
*Perform safety and mechanical checks of the equipment.
*Uses computers systems to obtain appropriate paperwork.
*Manage returned goods.
*Inspect material and account for all damage and return approval, using appropriate scanners, or other equipment.
*Ensure the freight conforms to the specifications in the documents provided.
*Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
*Position the items to be re-stocked or moved to the appropriate area.
We are an International Freight Forwarding company, so previous experience, whether in the office or warehouse, is very beneficial. Teamwork, dedication and the ability to communicate well are essential attributes.
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
*Must be fluent in speaking and writing English. Spanish fluency is beneficial, but not required.
*Warehouse (minimum 2 years of experience):
