Bakery Assistant

BAKING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

Located in Plantation, FL we are one of the leading cake supplies stores in South Florida. We excel in product variety and customer service.

We cater to the professional and amateur cake designers of the area and nationwide through our online supplies store.

Among our activities and services we conduct baking and decorating classes for adults and children. We also run day camps and activities for children, teaching them the love of art of baking and decorating.

We are seeking a dedicated person who will help at the bakery as well as prepare supplies and tools for our different classes and activities.

• Follow baking instructions and prepare pastries for classes
• Wash kitchen utensils and class tools
• Prepare tools and supplies for each class and activity
• General kitchen and workshop tasks (maintain clean & organized)
• Help with storefront tasks as: customer service, checkout customers and general store tasks

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to communicate fluently in English – in person and over the phone (Spanish is a big plus)
• Baking knowledge & Experience (Home bakes are welcomed, this position is not for pastry chefs)
• Must be organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to communicate clearly and illustrate a sincere interest in helping clients.
• Exceptional work ethic and professional commitment.
• Must be clean, organized and follow a baking recipe.
• Must be able to lift, move & carry up to 20 pounds.
• Frequent walking, bending, kneeling and reaching
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Basic computer skills, Independent and able to multi-task
• Superior customer service skills
• Regular Work schedule 10:30-3:30 M-F (some flexibility required)
• Saturday Morning shift every 3-4 weeks (10:00-2:00PM)
