Material Handler-2nd Shift-Shelbyville, KY

Now hiring Material Handlers for a premier metal distribution company in Shelbyville, KY. Temp to hire after 45 days, based on performance and attendance! Pay is $15.00/hour with an pay increase after 90 days!

Position Requirements:

* HS diploma or GED
* 1-3 years' of relevant experience preferred
* Overhead Crane experience a plus
* Proficient computer skills a plus
* Must be able to accurately use standard measuring tools (tape measure, micrometer, and caliper) as well as pneumatic hand tools
* Ability to accurately use hammer, nail gun, saw to build skids
* Manual lifting up to 50 lbs.

Successful candidates in this position will be responsible for:

* Operate a forklift/side loader- Forklift operation is only approximately 5% of job duties
* Operate a strapping machine- hand held piece of equipment used to secure product to a skid/pallet
* Operate a overhead crane
* Material handling by variety of methods including forklift, pallet jack, manually.
* Computer/Date entry
* All employees are required to wear PPE which consists of hardhat, Kevlar sleeves, cut resistant gloves, Safety boots, eye protection and hearing protection where needed.
