The Banking Repayment Representative will be responsible for collecting on delinquent accounts with balances and reviewing credit and other available information on delinquent accounts while delivering excellent customer service for Discovers collections call center. The Banking Repayment Representative will also be responsible for tracing of customers known to have "skipped", reviewing file for names, addresses, telephone numbers, and other references that may provide leads. Referring to city directories, reverse directories (when available) and telephone books to locate relatives, friends, neighbors, employers, or other creditors from whom information on customers may be obtained. Referring difficult accounts to Supervisor or Manager from recommendations as to further collection follow-up. Referring accounts to Manager for legal approval (if applicable) or charge off.

Positions Also known as: Senior Collections Representative, Banking Collections Representative, Banking Repayment Representative, Sales Representative, Upselling Specialist, Account Sales

 

Key Responsibilities:

1.             Obtains client information by answering telephone calls

2.     Interviewing clients and authorized users to verify information and identity

3.     Utilize various skip tracing techniques and recovery strategies to locate right parties in order to negotiate payment arrangements on accounts

4.     Ability to ask probing questions in order to better understand customers current financial state

5.     Make outbound and receive inbound calls and consistently follow Discovers recovery call model and techniques

6.     Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes


Key Skills/ Qualifications:

1.             Capable of building customer loyalty through listening, relationship building, and professional and persuasive sales communication skills

2.     Able to influence, creative problem solve, and find customized solutions

3.     Flexible and adapt to change well

4.     Able to navigate various computer applications, retrieving relevant information to respond to and service customer inquiries

This position is scheduled to start April 16, 2018. We have Full-Time (40 hrs). Please note this position includes a four (4) week, M-F paid training program where your attendance is mandatory. Shifts are 6am-230pm or 1130am-8pm with rotating weekends.
