Truck Jockey
The Truck Jockey is responsible for moving trucks, empty and full trailers from the yard to the dock or the dock to the yard and may include local pick-up from vendors or shuttling between Dr Pepper Snapple Group facilities.

Position Shift and Schedule

This is a full time permanent position working third shift 9:00pm until 5:30am working Monday through Friday. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends as needed, and holidays is required as scheduled.

Position Compensation

The starting rate of pay for this position is $19.59 an hour during training. After training, pay rate goes up to $21.77 an hour. The Union benefits package includes but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, 401K and paid vacation.

Position Responsibilities

1. Shuttle loaded trailers to the facility and return with empty trailers to be reloaded.
2. Move trailers of shells and return the empties to be loaded.
3. Have empties in the appropriate docks to be loaded.
4. Ensure all trailers that are put in the dock are properly locked.
5. Keep the flow of loaded trailers removed from the dock and replaced by empties as to not slow down the loading process.
6. Provide yard checks as needed for trailer inventory.
7. Operate a forklift as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.
