Providence is calling a Registered Nurse - Hospice (0.6 FTE, after hours coverage) to Providence Medford Medical Center in Medford, OR.

The schedule for this position will be after hours, on call weekends, and some weekday shifts.

In this position you will:

* Work under the direction of the Hospice Clinical Supervisor and on order of the physician.

* Be accountable for direct and indirect quality care for patients and families of all ages, according to the individualized needs of the patient, following the nursing process and in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.

* Accept professional development as an integral part of nursing practice.

* Manage a caseload of patients living within the service area of hospice.

* Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the healthcare team in a collegial relationship to promote patient comfort and assist in the achievement of a comfortable and peaceful death.

* Uphold the standards of confidentiality, attendance, and punctuality.

Required qualifications for this position include:

* Valid Oregon nursing license

* Valid Oregon driver's license and reliable transportation

* Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

* 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience, recent acute care, or long-term care experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* Recent Oncology or Home Hospice or Home Health experience

* Knowledge of infusion therapy desirable
