JOBSUMMARY: The AccountManagement Specialist acts as the primary day-to-day contact for customerswithin an assigned customer account group which may include retail, durablegoods, automotive, electronic commerce providers, etc. The Account ManagementSpecialist will act as the primary liaison between the company and thecustomers, meeting customer expectations and working with internal Hub GroupDepartments to resolve any issues for the customer. Once the on-boarding ofthese customers has occurred, the Account Management Specialist will monitor andreport order acceptance, order maintenance and accessorial management by theuse of various Hub Group transportation management systems.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Developa proactive relationship with the assigned customer accounts by resolution of issuesand concerns in a timely manner and provide innovative solutions.

* Determinewhich accessorial charges can be billed and follow company process tosuccessful conclusion, minimizing disputes, assisting in collections andworking with Account Managers on solutions to reduce accessorial charges.

* Manage,monitor and report order acceptance, order maintenance and accessorialmanagement by email, phone and use of various Hub Group transportationmanagement systems.

* Offeralternative transportation solutions as necessary by analyzing internal andexternal account metrics.

* Manageassigned customer accounts to ensure they receive the best product at thelowest possible cost; maximize margin, network efficiency and On-TimePerformance (OTP).

* Communicatewith shipper and consignee contacts regarding exception notification andproblem resolution.

* MaximizeHub profitability and reduce customer cost exposure by working with Operationsto properly manage assets such as container pools.

* Maintain quality service by monitoring standards; advisingsupervisor of potential problems. Work with Manager, Account Management andOperations Group to address and resolve single load concerns in a timely manner.

* Duties, responsibilities andactivities may be assigned or changed from time to time.

* Bachelor'sdegree in business, logistics, supply chain, or management preferred

* Experiencein the transportation industry preferred

* Experiencewith EDI processes, Web Tender Portals, fax and other applicable forms ofelectronic communication preferred.

* Proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Outlook, Excel, Word

* Highlyeffective communication, both verbal and written

* Attentionto detail, organizational skills, and customer focused

* Abilityto work weekend rotation when scheduled

HOURS (3 shifts available):

* 4pm - 2am

* 8pm - 6am

* 4pm - 4am
