As a result of FCA's focus to bring high quality products with an exceptional user experience to its customers, it is expanding its Advanced Development Engineering organization in the area responsible for the developing the Automated Driving /Driver Assistance Systems (DAS) of the future. Selected candidates will be immersed in a hands-on role, working with state of the art technologies, in a field exhibiting rapid year over year growth. As part of this team, candidates will work side by side with specialists and subject matter experts creating an environment fostering continued skill set growth knowledge share.

The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) team is currently seeking individuals to fill the role of a Simulation Engineer. In this position, the Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing validation tests in a virtual environment necessary to successfully launch ADAS features to production. These systems may include improvements and modifications to existing features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane keep assist and blind spot monitor. He/she will also be responsible for developing and executing plans for completely new driving features, including autonomous driving controls. Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Design, implement, verify and maintain simulations
  • Execute tests using simulations
  • Analyze data and test results, apply statistical models and validation methods and report findings and results to the cross-functional team and senior management
  • Review and help develop test procedures for various ADAS and Automated Driving features and applications
  • Troubleshoot issues and assist other verification engineers during the use of this equipment up to and including re-simulation of in vehicle logged data
  • Effectively communicate with cross-functional development engineers
  • Support development of the plant and controller models and virtual ECUso
  • Support the ADAS development team on a per-request basis for simulated environments, conditions, and configurations
  • Analyze, identify and implement system upgrades and improvements as they become necessary for validation and reliability activities
  • Lead and participate in collaborate discussions with global HIL/SIL organizations to ensure standardization of tools, methodologies, models and test scripts
