About this job
The Diesel OBD Calibration Engineer is responsible for developing test plans, establishing goals / timelines, and communicating status of a project to completion. The Calibration Engineer will plan and coordinate day-to-day activities including interaction with technicians and support engineers. He/she will utilize structured problem solving methods to make data based hardware and calibration decisions. Evaluate new engine hardware and technology for compliance with diagnostic strategies. Analyze, plan, and solve complex system problems as they relate to diagnostic development. Manipulate and utilize large and complex sets of data. e. Actively participate in the development of diagnostic algorithms to address new requirements. Actively participate in the development of calibration processes and procedures. Participate in meetings with management, product design, and systems teams. Present summaries and detailed reports on specific assignments, including timing projections. This position combines multiple engineering disciplines to develop diesel hardware and calibrate the engine management system of engines produced by the company. The candidate should expect to travel 4-6 weeks throughout the year for system validation/verification.
