About this job
The Design and Validation Test Engineer Lead in electric powertrain is responsible for coordinating, executing, and reporting all assigned program specific testing.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the test program specific to electric powertrain components
- Participate/support DFMEA development and help create/refine the Design Validation Plan (DVP)
- Coordinate program specific DVP engineering team to execute testing
- Coordinate and support all program specific test properties such as: bench, dynamometer, and vehicle testing
- Report status-to-plan of all testing activities during technical and program reviews
- Work closely with Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer, Lead Calibrator, and Design Release Engineers to coordinate all testing aspects of the program
- Ensure timely reporting of test delays or DVP test failures and escalation for resolution to the Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer
