The EE Architecture Hardware Interface Engineer is responsible for compiling, analyzing and releasing the HWI documents for the body controller and its direct-wired sense and actuation loads. This covers the subsystems that the body controller interfaces with (wired connections). The candidate will gather loads interface circuit data from their respective release engineers and insure data is complete and accurate and will gather body controller interface circuit data from the body controller release engineers and insure data is complete and accurate. The candidate will assemble all data gathered into the HWI documents, interface with EMEA to insure harmonization of efforts in the areas of HWI and hardware design reviews. In addition to the above, the candidate will conduct hardware design reviews for a variety of modules on all vehicle lines. The candidate will conduct this hardware design review with the module supplier and cover all aspects of the specific module hardware to insure proper design, expose weaknesses in the ECU design and discuss with the supplier any mitigation plan. Review and approve any mitigation plans by the supplier. Insure proper, complete, and on-time execution (per the EEDP) of the hardware design reviews for all programs. This includes scheduling, conducting, and completing all reviews by the due dates.
