DESCRIPTION

THIS JOB REQUIRES SUBMITTING TO A HAIR FOLLICLE TEST. Individuals will be responsible for using laser torches to cut scrap rolls on sheet metal into smaller pieces. Work environment is extremely hot, dusty and 95% of work is conducted in outside setting.  Ideal for candidates who have worked in the construction industry.  Plenty of overtime available

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Use torch/laser instruments to cut sheet metal and coils.

Must be able to understand instructions given in English

Must have reliable transportation to get to/from job site (no bus route)

Submit to fitness test, audiogram and detailed (hair follicle) check

Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.

Use oxy/gas hand torch to cut scrap coils steel bands etc. into smaller pieces for processing

Examine workpieces for defects

Must be medically approved to wear a half-face respirator and be clean shaven at all times for safety reasons

Work safety outdoors in extreme conditions, rough ground, extreme heat and dust etc.

Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the torch/laser trade.

Select and install torches, torch tips, filler rods, and flux, according to specifications or types and thicknesses of metals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Entry level position.

Requires physical endurance to include loading/unloading equipment, digging along with other strenuous activities.

Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 lbs.

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Must be able to work weekends as needed.
