We currently have an opening for a Process Engineering Technician. This position will be based in our Fall River Massachusetts facility and will report to the Transportation Engineering Program Manager. 

Currently creating an Advanced Transportation Composites Center (ATCC) using High-Pressure Resin Transfer Molding (HP-RTM). This HP-RTM laboratory is the first of its kind in the United States and is focused on high volume composites manufacturing for automotive.  is leading the charge to bring this technology to US manufacturers, similar equipment is currently being utilized in Europe. This is a great ground floor opportunity to be an active contributor to the development of  new transportation business.

The Process Engineering Technician will work to develop and implement optimal, automated manufacturing processes for the fabrication of large composite structures for transition into high volume production facilities. This is a hands on position that will require process knowledge along with the ability to communicate with both internal and external customers. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in the development of material & processes for the fabrication of engineered composite structures 
• Operate full scale equipment, such as Robotic Arms, Injection Systems, Hydraulic Presses, and layup preforming systems 
• Conduct experiments on assigned processes, and develop support documentation with the engineering team
• Own assigned areas, including maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, dealing with internal customers, and work prioritization
• Perform hand layup, part assembly, and other composite processing 
• Work from complex product drawings, manuals, and other company specifications.
• Collaborate with sales, planning, and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods and quality results.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Education/ Skills/ Experience:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Associates in Mechanical Engineering Technology, or equivalent, 3-5 years' experience in composites manufacturing. 
• Minimum 3-5 years related experience required; with direct experience in related composite processing and manufacturing for automotive and transportation applications considered a plus or other composite experience preferred.
• Machine tooling, tool design and molding operations including Resin Transfer Molding , compression molding, reinforcement preforming technologies in support of composite part manufacturing, a plus
• Demonstrated ability to develop solutions to technical problems, makes appropriate decisions, and meets time constraints
• Demonstrated desire to continually learn and keep up with changing technology
• Able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment to achieve common goals and results
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing 
• Comfort level with reading gauges, Measuring Devices
• Familiar with CAD/CAM including any of the following software environments: AutoCAD, Solidworks, CATIA V5, NX, MasterCAM or other CAD and CAE systems, a plus
• Detail Oriented, Mechanical Aptitude, Questioning Attitude
• A level of craftsmanship
• Flexible with multiple projects (priorities shifting) 
• Ability to work with vendors, customers and employees
• Ability to maintain a safe work environment
