Catering Sales Coordinator

The Courtyard by Marriott Walla Walla, managed by Northwest x Southern Hospitality (NSH) is looking for a courteous, customer service driven, happy, energetic, ambitious, and inspired Catering Sales Coordinator to join our growing hospitality team! Summary of position: This position performs catering sales support duties and aids in managing accounts to achieve guest satisfaction and to solicit past and new business to ensure all catering revenue goals are achieved or exceeded. This position coordinates the development and solicitation of business from all markets to ensure the necessary advance bookings needed for a successful and profitable catering operation for the hotel. This position is responsible for booking events, creating banquet event orders, contracts and finalizing function details. Full job description available upon request.

Qualifications: Ability to effectively communicate with customers in a friendly and positive manner, in order to solicit business, meet client needs and resolve complaints. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. Ability to access and accurately input information into a computer using Microsoft Office and other applications. Prior administrative,  hospitality, and catering experience preferred.
