Assembly Line Worker – Wabasso, MN

PeopleReady is hiring for an Assembly Line Worker in Wabasso, MN for a local manufacturing company.  This is a long term temp-to-hire position with a family-owned company that manufactures high quality children’s furniture and products. They manufacture over 3500 products specifically made to withstand the rigors of use in high traffic, commercial environments such as classrooms, waiting areas, daycares, and play rooms – as well as in residences. 

Assembly Line Worker Job Description

You will be responsible for the picking of all parts, assembling the needed carts in the order necessary for assembly or pre-assembly.  You will also work closely with the carting supervisor and production planner to determine any needs that may arise regarding carting.  You may be cross trained in Pre-Assembly.

This position would also include but not be limited to the attaching of hinges, screws, u channels, etc. for the aiding in the process of the builder. This also includes but is not limited to understanding the quality and process for all products. It also involves the upkeep and maintenance of the area that encompasses the entire working area.  You will also coordinate and work closely with the upcoming shift to determine any needs that may arise regarding changeover.  

Assembly Line Worker Requirements

·         Strong ability to anticipate upcoming issues to prevent inefficiencies. 

·         Continuous communication between all shifts necessary. 

·         Excellent people skills. 

·         Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. 

·         Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 150 lbs.

·         Keen awareness of all safety needs and requirements.

·         Full understanding of all gluing procedures.

·         Excellent understanding of measurements in particular the metric system.

Shifts/Wage: 

• 1st shift:  M-F, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; $11.00/hr
• 2nd shift:  M-F, 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM; $11.50/hr
