Home Instead Senior Care in Green Bay is looking for a positive, professional HR Generalist to work out of our corporate office supporting all locations. The Human Resources Generalist provides exceptional administrative and technical assistance in support of the human resources function, including recruitment, benefits administration, ATS and other HR system management, legal compliance, and employee relations. DESCRIPTION:

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide support to the day-to-day human resources activities, including responding to internal and external inquiries, performing compliant human resources recordkeeping, and ensuring franchise standards are upheld
  • Partner with leadership to support employee engagement discussions and activities
  • Assist with the employment process for administrative employees, which includes support in placing job postings, actively sourcing candidates, conducting interviews and new employee onboarding
  • Ensure the accurate, timely completion and filing of all required new employee paperwork
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including new hire enrollments, life event changes, the annual open enrollment period, FMLA and COBRA
  • Create, communicate, implement, and maintain department standard operating procedures (SOPs) while continuously identifying ways to improve process efficiencies
  • Analyze and compile data from reports, such as employee turnover and retention.  Recommend methods to improve employment practices and processes to management
  • Participate in company safety initiatives, including attending injury review committee meetings and taking meeting minutes.  Organize and maintain all injury files accurately to support the workers' compensation program, OSHA logs and reporting
  • Assist with employee relations issues such as answering questions, coaching leaders on policies and supporting individual development initiatives
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefit laws and regulations. Completing applicable government reports
SUPERVISORY
        This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for others in the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate Degree in a business field.  Human Resources degree, educational certification, or professional certification strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years of HR experience
  • Highly positive attitude toward others and unexpected challenges
  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to establish trust and credibility quickly
  • Solid attention to detail
  • Strong judgment and decision using objective reasoning
  • Capacity for meeting deadlines while working under pressure / sense of urgency
