Service Technician - Job Description:
The Service Tech will perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards. This will also involve heavy engine repairs and maintenance on all vehicle brands.
Service Technician - Job Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance service including oil changes, tire work, and other needed maintenance items.
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
- Learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to keep up with rapidly changing technology.
- Inspect vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
Service Technician - Requirements:
- Experience in auto service OR recent completion of automotive tech/trade school is preferred
- Experience of the latest automotive technologies and working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, A/C equipment, etc. is preferred
- ASE Certification and Nissan experience a PLUS!
- Ability to reprogram on-board computer systems is preferred
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- High school diploma or equivalent
