Position Purpose
The Production Supervisor will provide technical knowledge, operations experience and management skill at a first line supervisory level in the daily direction and efficient performance of production related activities/functions in the attainment of short and long term facility goals on all shifts.
The Production Supervisor must be flexible to the changing needs of the operation which include the ability to work all shifts and days.
Principal Accountabilities
50% - Organize, Plan and lead and control daily production
20% - Ensure administrative functions are being met for employees
10% - Safety and proper job training of all employees
10% - Maintain communication of availability of operating supplies
10% - Compliance with all Corp/BU, State and Federal statutes and facility policies and procedures.
Required
* High School diploma or GED equivalent
* 3 or more year of Industrial process or mine experience
* Working experience in MS Office
* Able to work in underground mine conditions (exposure to different temperatures, heights, dust, noise, etc.)
* Availability to work all shift and days (rotating shift)
* Exposure/knowledge of basic PC software programs (i.e. word, excel, outlook)
* Exposure to formalized safety management program
* Working experience with MSHA or OSHA safety statutes
* Ability to travel as needed by the business
Preferred
* Associates degree or higher
* 1 year mining experience
* Prior supervisory experience
* Experience in mining methods (i.e. drilling, rockbolting, blasting) and in use and operation of related equipment
* Experience in grouting methods (i.e. drilling, injecting cement, pumping systems)
* Experience in operation of packaging equipment and product warehousing operations
* Experience in installation, basic maintenance or operation of mine ventilation and materials handling process/ handling system and/or mine shaft maintenance
* Acquired in general mechanical skills/aptitude
* Experience within preventative maintenance and parts inventory systems
* Knowledge of operations computer systems (i.e. SAP, Maximo, Kronos)
* Working experience with Vulcan and Autocad
* Ability to train and engage others
* Strong interpersonal skills (i.e. communications, leading, motivating, etc.)
