Business Intelligence Developer

The BI Developer is responsible for the design, development, testing, implementation and support of mission-critical enterprise BI reports and dashboards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Design, develop, test, deploy and support QlikSense applications * Design, develop, and test QlikSense scripts to import data from source systems, data feeds, flat files into a QlikSense data model * Provide business analyses and/or develop new processes and procedures for extracting meaningful and relevant data out of internal systems * Participate in business analysis activities to gather dashboard requirements * Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to develop and implement QlikSense BI applications * Identify, analyze and interpret trends in complex customer data sets * Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented * Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Competency Statement(s) * Analytical Skills - Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem * Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word * Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely * Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures. * Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures. * Interpersonal - Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals. * Management Skills - Ability to organize and direct oneself and effectively supervise others. * Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems * Relationship Building - Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and co-workers * Working Under Pressure - Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations REQUIREMENTS Education * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or equivalent training and experience.Experience * 3+ years of experience in the design, development, testing, deployment and support of QlikView/QlikSense applications * Advanced scripting and ETL, data modeling and working with large data sets * Use of complex QlikView/QlikSense functions and developing optimal scripts * Front-end design and Visualization best practices * SQL Database experience SKILLS & ABILITIES * Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization. * Strong quantitative analytical skills, especially pipeline and revenue analysis * Excellent written and spoken communication abilities * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities judiciouslyWORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
