Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary: The maintenance technician will complete required preventive maintenance (PM) and repairs on the client’s facility equipment. This position will be crossed trained and utilize a “flow to the work” concept. The successful technician will be an excellent communicator, have exceptional follow up capabilities and exhibit pride in ownership of the clients’ facilities.
This position requires a considerable amount of walking, climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Furniture/Office Equipment: Build, tear down or modify cubicles, Install desks and work surfaces, Build electronic and/or manual sit stands, Install electronic and/or manual sit stands, Install/replace kick plates and top caps, Wire management in cubicles, Installing power strips, Chair repairs, Furniture repairs, Furniture delivery, Furniture return to stock, Picture hanging, Sign installation,
- Event set up/build outs: Room set up, Seasonal décor setup and tear down
- Walls: Patch walls, Minor wall paper repairs, Cove base repairs, Painting
- Lighting issues
- Exterior: Power washing,Roof inspections, Concrete and asphalt repairs, Masonry sealants
- Preventive maintenance: Recycling program work orders IE battery station weekly pick up, light bulb pick up and recycle wire management, Eyewash station inspections and maintenance, Restroom inspections , Minor restroom maintenance, Exit light inspections, Mechanical area trash removal and clean up, Assist crew members with preventive maintenance as needed, Cardboard and trash compactors, Powered industrial vehicle inspections
- General maintenance: Assist in organizing common areas including sorting, packing, disposal and relocation of stock items as directed, Automatic door OPENERs
- Doors and door hardware: Interior, exterior, overhead, etc.; Repair and maintain doors
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years extensive facilities maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to perform complex system & equipment Preventative and Corrective maintenance activities.
