About this job

Part of the Creative Team at Restaurants Unlimited Inc. (RUI), this role is responsible for recipe database development and maintenance of all food and beverage programs. Components of the role include menu development, promotions documentation, financial analysis, adherence to standards, process improvement and related training and development of talent.

Key Responsibilities
• Food and beverage recipes are accurately captured in Eatec
• Recipes are clearly written, illustrated with pictures, reliable and secure
• Recipe manuals are compiled and provided to operations by deadline dates
• New recipes include recommended pricing, costing and FATTR criteria
• Maintenance of the recipe database system is accurate and timely
• Design, develop and deliver recipe database training programs
• Drives delivery of new menu roll out projects on time, to budget and within scope
• Invests in improving existing or introducing new process, product and recipe quality standards
• Contributes to developing and communicating new menu roll-out packages
• Conduct cost and quality-focused training on all programs, systems and tools
• Monitors, maintains and communicates food and beverage theoretical cost programs
• Supports back of house systems and tools to protect company assets
• Collaborates with Marketing for product photography, specialty menus, bar rituals and LTO’s and Finance to establish forecasts and assess opportunities for cost efficacy

Requirements

Job Requirements
* Culinary education and/or minimum 5-7 years of professional kitchen experience
* Proficient with data entry and computer applications, including MS Office and database management
* Adept communicator, both writing and verbally
* Ability to prioritize and complete work with limited supervision and sometimes under tim pressure
* Capable project manager with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
