SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE    
The Facilities Assistant is hard-working, responsible, reliable, and the “go to” person on  School campus. This individual must be willing to do whatever is needed, from changing light bulbs, painting  to moving furniture to cleaning up a spill.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS                   

    Do daily checks on classrooms for cleanliness and check for overnight problems. Inspect grounds and playgrounds daily.

  • Procure equipment and oversee set-up for all school functions.
  • Make runs for supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance of buildings and grounds.
  • Perform monthly maintenance checks on all maintenance equipment, ensuring all are in good working order. Maintain an inventory of hand tools.
  • Make necessary repairs to all facility equipment, keeping all buildings and grounds in good condition.
  • Clean-up spills and messes.
  • Direct traffic when needed.
  • Keep outdoor equipment in good working order; clean and check for safety as needed.
  • Mow, trim, mulch, and weed.
  • Keep sidewalks clear of all debris (snow, leaves, etc.)

POSITION DETAILS

This position is a fulltime temporary could lead temp to direct hire depending on how you perform, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Experience working maintenance
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
