Operating Assistant, Cosmetics, Full Time: Bloomingdale's Santa Monica, CA

Overview:

The Cosmetics Operating Assistant is responsible for partnering with their Sales Manager in all aspects that will support the growth of top
line sales. This is achieved through ensuring best practices are executed, and guaranteeing we always create a clean, neat, and easy to shop
environment to ensure an outstanding experience for our customer. Merchandise must be processed, presented, and maintained to the
Bloomingdale's standard. The Operating Assistant drives superb execution of administrative functions and merchandise
processing in his/her area. The Operating Assistant is focused on delivering sales through supporting corporate, regional, and store initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:

• Support the SM in driving Bloomingdale's Sales, Service and Loyalty priorities
• Monitor Selling Floor Standards including merchandising, event set up, visual changes, and supplies.
• Demonstrate awareness of key sales drivers .
• Assign/monitor workload including new receipts, RTVs and achieve Workload Completion Standard
• Maintain stockroom standards,
• Manage all inventory control and Loss Prevention standards
• Assist SM with Scheduling and TIA Administration; assist SM with planning and coordinating Bloomingdale's and vendor training for team members
• Administer Office activities; participate in department meetings, conference calls and store meetings; handle customer issues as needed

Skills Summary:

• Execute all RTV's.
• Ability to balance priorities, meet deadlines and be flexible with task assignments
• Strong communication skills and high confidence level
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities, ability to work a flex schedule including nights and weekends as needed
• Technical competencies in Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word/Excel, TIA System, Pipeline and Fedstart
