Direct Support Professional

As a Supported Apartment Specialist at Opportunity Partners, you will get to spend time with a group of adults with developmental disabilities in a supported apartment and community environment. You will be assisting in all areas of daily living so that each resident meets their personal goals and develops self-management and independence. This would include helping them with shopping, menu planning, traveling to appointments, building social interactions, setting goals, and going on community outings. If you are a friendly and caring individual who has a passion for helping others, we are looking for you!

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
• Work experience in the human services field preferred
• Great communication skills, both verbal and written
• Basic computer skills (some experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Ability to work within a defined set of policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Positive attitude
• Reliability
