As Bell/Valet Attendant, you will

  • Provide the pivotal first impression, setting the tone for the guest experience.
  • Extend a genuinely friendly welcome to arriving guests.
  • Help with doors and luggage, guiding guests to the front desk, assisting guests to their rooms, and offering tips about the property and room amenities.
  • Respond helpfully to guest questions about the property, getting around and nearby happenings.
  • Pitch in. Help guests with special requests, room deliveries, and transportation arrangements when the need arises. Tidy the lobby and public areas when you see something out of place, reporting any repair or maintenance needs.
  • Carefully and efficiently park, secure, and retrieve vehicles.
  • Graciously assist guests with issues arising out of the parking experience.
  • Transport guests safely to and from the property, carefully handling luggage.
  • Help make sure the hotel vehicle is clean, full of gas, and ready to go, noting any malfunction at the first sign.

Fundamentals

A high school education or equivalent is preferred, with prior customer service experience helpful. The ability to communicate effectively and graciously in English is essential. This position requires continuous movement, full mobility, lifting, pushing and pulling a moderate to heavy amount of weight, such as a full luggage cart up.  Must be able to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances in both indoor and outdoor climate, including wind, rain and extreme heat.  You must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive all vehicle speed shifts for van, limousines and automobiles, including automatic and manual transmission vehicles.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
