Job Description

The Waterhouse Showroom Manager is responsible for creating the energy & excitement around the Waterhouse Brand. You bring customers dreams from concepts to reality! The Manager’s primary duty is to oversee all everyday operations of the showroom making sure the showroom is staffed and the hours of operation are adequately covered . The Showroom Manager drives the profitable development of sales through the management of the sales/design support team. This role is critical in delivering a gracious client experience, driving sales growth, and fostering strong Architect, Design, Builder, and Remodeler community relationships. Through coaching, mentorship, and continuous development of the team, the showroom will maximize sales volumes by growing existing business, developing new relationships, seeking new product offerings, while providing top-notch customer experience. Success in the position is measured by the achievement of both sales and profitability, as well as overall customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Directly responsible for leading the team of associates in fulfilling their respective roles in providing an outstanding customer experience, worthy of the Waterhouse brand.
  • Directly responsible for driving sales, contributing to the overall financial performance of the showroom, including retail sales, repeat builder/account customers, and achievement of profitability goals.
  • Attract, develop, and retain high-performance talent.
  • Manage individual and overall showroom performance results in partnership with the company owners.
  • Responsible for identifying local customer market demands and making adjustments to displays and merchandising to meet customer needs.
  • Plans and executes display merchandising & visual presentation standards.
  • Ensures the showroom sales floor is clean, organized, picked-up, displays completed and remodeled in a reasonable time.
  • Directly responsible for promoting the Showroom to Builders, Architects, and Designers. This would include making regular promotional calls and attending builder meetings.
  • Spear head all aspects of social media marketing.
  • Computer applications: Understand and use all aspects of the company’s ERP software applicable to showroom selling and marketing. Embrace new technology to grow and build sales and profits through the showroom.
  • Oversee our web page is updated, and adequately reflects the Waterhouse Brand, to help drive business to Waterhouse.
  • Plan and execute advertising and promotions.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of retail management and sales experience
  • Interior Design/equivalent Degree, or 5 years industry experience
  • 5 years of construction/remodel industry experience
