Visual Merchandising Coordinator

Do you love to decorate?  Do you love interior design?  Do you want a job you'll love?  The Tin Roof is looking for a qualified individual to coordinate all our visual merchandising.  We are looking for a visual merchandising team-member.    This job could be 20-40 hours a week, depending on your availability.  Extremely flexible hours / days. 

The Job

• Oversee the flow of accessories (lighting, rugs, decor and artwork) to our retail showroom.

• Maintain inventory levels with monthly spot checks in warehouse and on showroom floor

• Keep best sellers in stock utilizing our sales software

• Receive, unpack, assemble and prepare accessories for the showroom floor

• Work with vendors on damages and replacements

• Merchandise the showroom per the buyer's plans and instructions

• Maintain showroom appearance per buyer's plans

• Run monthly markdowns and move products to clearance center per report

• Maintain our staging and merchandising inventory

Requirements

• Highly Organized

• Ability to learn and use our point of sale software system

• Work efficiently, quickly and accurately both with a team and independently

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and assemble small furniture and accessory items (lamps & decor)

• Problem solving skills

• Ability to create and follow a plan through to completion

• Ability to work with a team including buyer, purchasing agent and warehouse manager

• A sense of current interior styles for merchandising of the showroom floor

• Creativity in visual merchandising

If you are someone who love home decor, loves decorating and think you could make a career of visual merchandising this would be a great place to start.  We are willing to train the right person, but you must be organized and able to follow directions and see a plan all the way through.  

Compensation depends on experience.  $15/HR + DOE
