Barrel House Z is seeking to hire a Brewery Sales Representative that will be responsible for the following territory:
- Greater Boston
- North Shore
- Worcester County
- Western MA
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Grow sales and distribution within assigned territory
- Adhere to an aggressive call frequency on key existing and new retailers in assigned markets
- Manage call frequency based on established targets in each market
- Build relationships with wholesaler teams - sales reps, sales managers, brand managers, etc.
- Train, motivate and influence wholesaler sales team on BHZ brands
- Maintain an aggressive ride with schedule with distributor sales reps
- Use available data systems and strong analytical skills to maintain existing distribution while always looking to expand distribution with new retailer partners
- Communicate all sales leads to wholesaler management using account call recap structure
- Coordinate and execute weekly events and tastings to develop brand awareness and engage customers
- Help manage the Brand Ambassador program to ensure that samplings are maximized
- Identify local sponsorship and special event opportunities
- Represent Barrel House Z at all significant craft beer events within designated territory
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensuring that all business activity is conducted within local, state and federal laws
Job Requirements
- 2-3+ years of sales experience in Beverage Industry (preferred)
- Must live within assigned territory
- Understanding of 3-Tier System
- Technical beer knowledge preferred
- Existing retail relationships (preferred)
- Strong connection to the local market (preferred)
- Energetic and motivated with existing sales skills
- Competitive with a passion for craft beer
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task while still meeting all deadlines
- Independent worker with flexible work schedule
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with major social media platforms
- Ability to travel as required
