We are seeking a Project Engineer for a Mechanical / Industrial engineering firm in the Pittsburgh Area :
The Project Engineer develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
Qualifications:
- Required experience in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Site Management, and Structural Steel experience.
- This person must be able to travel to each job location to oversee production of the simulator parts, meet clients, quality control, progress control, and control costs.
- The first location is O''Hare and Chicago - the following possible locations, Denver, Toronto, and DC the possibilities are endless!
- Schedule will depend on the project - Candidate may have a possibility to travel home on the weekends depending on workload.
Project Engineer Job Duties:
Determines:
- Responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors.
- Specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
- Schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
- Project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends ; recommending actions.
- Project costs by approving expenditures; administering contractor contracts.
Confirms:
- Product performance by designing and conducting tests.
- Project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
Maintains:
- Project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
- Safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Project data base by writing computer programs; entering and backing up data.
- Product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Salary range from $70,000-$100,000.
