BUSINESS IMPACT STATEMENT
Consistently demonstrates cross-functional or multi-discipline proficiency of the creation of Store Design or Store Planning documents to support Kohl's New Store, Remodel, Prototype, Innovation or Takeover programs as assigned. Project Specialist- expert or "Go To Person" in assigned specialty role. Manage all documentation, production, communication and quality assurance/quality control relative to assigned projects. Partner with internal and external teams to successfully execute assigned projects and processes. Creates and implements Store Design or Store Planning processes to maximize productivity and contribution throughout the team environment.
ACCOUNTABILITIES Project Development
  • Make project specific scope of work and design decisions for each project based upon locations specific requirements and budget guidelines.
  • Directly responsible for project based quality, schedule and production objectives.
  • Manage project documentation, communication, quality assurance and quality control relative to assigned specialist role.
  • Review documents for compliance with Store Design and Planning prototype documents.
  • Directly responsible for developing and producing Store Design and Planning construction documents, Concept Planning, interior planning documents and programming for all types of stores, specifically : prototypical, unique, non-prototypical, multi-level, high anomaly projects, etc.utilizing Auto-Cad Software.
Project Administration
  • Assist in scope development. Analyze existing store conditions, fixture type and history.
  • Make recommendations relative to scope of work for all applications.
  • Coordinate project construction documents with external site adapt consultant when needed
  • Understand and implement planning processes, standards and management tools to all anomaly store types. Includes: model schedules, change management, prototype development, remodel surveys, quality assurance, quality control, project prioritization, CAD standards, data sheets, data base, etc.
  • Understand and implement innovation initiatives including: new merchandise strategies, reinventions, competitor shops, bench marking, best of market presentations, etc.
Process Analysis and Improvement
  • Assist in developing and implementing processes, standards and management tools. Includes: model schedules, change management, prototype development, store surveys, quality assurance, quality control, project prioritization, CAD standards, data sheets, data base, etc.
  • Assist in developing and implementing innovation initiatives including: new merchandise strategies, reinventions, competitor shops, benchmarking, best of market presentations, etc.
  • Pro-actively partner with internal and external teams in order to resolve scheduling conflicts and communicate change that may affect production schedules.
Develop and maintain fixed asset database that provides information on stores to corporate partners. Includes, but not limited to: Store specific fixture types, quantities, square footages, store specific information, store type, etc. Accountability 2

QUALIFICATIONSRequired
  • 2- 4 year degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in a relative field
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with peers, project team members, and business partners in other departments
