About the Job

Seeking energetic and motivated Before and Afterschool Program Leaders to implement high quality programs and activities for school-age youth. Before and Afterschool Program Leaders supervise a safe, supportive and fun environment at one of 9 local program sites on elementary school campuses. Responsibilities include managing groups of children ages 5-11, leading restorative conflict resolution, applying youth development principles to provide an enriching afterschool experience, and upholding safety policies and procedures.
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicant must have completed 12 Units in Early Childhood Education and/or Units in psychology, recreation, art, dance, music, education, sociology, social welfare, human development, counseling, nursing, home economics, physical education, or other related field, or Training hours (teaching assistance, camp, youth program, counseling or other related experience.) (Applicants not meeting these qualifications may be eligible for an Assistant Teacher role)
  • Some experience working with children.
  • Minimum age of 18.
  • Obtain a Finger Print Clearance through the Department of Justice
