Full-time (40-hours/week) position under the general direction of the Director of Research and Clinical Training. This position is designed for a clinically licensed mental health professional with experience in training staff on Evidence-Based Practices (in particular MAP) as well as Mental Health topics such as assessment, clinical diagnosis, and treatment planning. This individual is responsible for the development, implementation, and sustainment of infrastructural systems and processes related to supporting clinical staffs’ ability to effectively provide coordinated, evidence-based mental health care to youths and adults.

 

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct agency-wide evaluations regarding staff EBP skills and identify infrastructural and training needs of clinical staff.
  • Ongoing coordination with departments to establish strategy planning for EBP sustainability.
  • Maintain broad knowledge and expertise regarding ‘best practices’ and evidence-based treatments including the emergence of new practices and evolving efficacy of existing EBPs.
  • Oversee the development of training curricula to certify clinical staff in agency EBPs (in particular MAP).
  • Coordinate and implement agency-wide EBP training.
  • Coordinate and implement booster training for EBP topics within the agency.
  • Create on-going training to implement measurement tools, data collection, and evaluation procedures and CQI practices as it relates to EBPs.
  • Take a lead role in research and evaluation projects relevant to understanding the utilization and effectiveness of EBPs.
  • Attend external meetings, training, symposiums, and webinars surrounding the use of evidence-based practices and associated outcome measurement tools.
  • Will see clients on an as-needed basis to build knowledge and skills surrounding clinical staff training needs.

Position requirements include, but not limited to:

  • Education:  Licensed Psychologist registered with the CA Board of Psychology or LCSW/LMFT registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • Minimum Experience: 4 years in a related field.
  • Two years of post-licensure (preferred).
  • Certification as MAP Therapist (preferred)
  • Certification as Agency MAP Supervisor (preferred).
  • Prior training and certification in Evidence-Based Practices, preferably in TF-CBT, PCIT, PPP, I-CBT, Seeking Safety.
  • Knowledge of California laws, requirements, and ethics surrounding the provision of clinical training and the practice of psychotherapy.
  • Working knowledge of DMH and DCFS policies and procedures (preferred).
  • Up to date with current trends impacting the supervision and training of Clinical Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy and Social Work Interns & Trainees.
  • Understanding of routine social science research methods in a human services environment. 
  • Prior research or program evaluation experience (preferred).
  • Skills necessary to engage and work with others from diverse backgrounds.
