The Arcade Technician position is responsible for the day to day operations of our game rooms. Applicant must be able to work alone, possess the qualities of being a self-starter and be able to work with other game room attendants. An Arcade Technician is responsible for anticipating guest needs, and exceeding guest service expectations all while providing a fun and exciting atmosphere. All positions are responsible for assisting guests in various areas, in many capacities, and following Andretti Indoor Karting and Games high standards of quality Guest satisfaction.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Anticipates and responds to Guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
  • Observes, instructs and monitor Guests for safety and guideline adherence.
  • Assists with Guest recovery and notifies manager to ensure positive Guest experiences.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with Guests and fellow co-workers.
  • Works as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments.
  • Attends all required department and company meetings and training sessions. 
  • Maintain a clean work area in compliance with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of facility emergency procedures.
  • Performs Opening, Running and Closing department duties as assigned.
  • Proper uniform according to Andretti Indoor Karting and Games guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and eagerness to learn new skills
  • Performs repairs on games: Explains operation of games to Guests.
  • Continued inventory of electronics, game parts, tools etc.
  • Proper documentation of game issues, parts and work history.
  • Perform preventative maintenance all aspects of games, simulators and attractions.
  • Must be able to use/read a volt/ohmmeter and a soldering gun. Must be able to read schematics.
  • Stock and maintain inventory of all prize games.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and some software.
  • Ensuring all games are clean and presentable to the public.

Requirements

Prior guest service experience is preferred. A Drug Test and Background Check is required prior to employment. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an Andretti Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of their job.   • Performs functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and stocking up to 50lbs.
  • Walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Desire to smile throughout shift.

  • The environment includes bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds.
