Merchandiser - Full-time / Part-time

LET’S GET ROASTING!  Business is booming and we need a Route Sales Representative to support our New Orleans Metro and Northshore customers.  This position is responsible for the rollout of new products in local chain and independent grocery stores as well as assisting with the existing food service accounts by calling on and delivering coffee, tea and equipment.

GRIND THE BEANS. The crucial step to this position’s perfection.

• Builds effective partnerships with local chain and independent grocery stores and other individually owned businesses.
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining and growing a profitable customer base by understanding customer needs and expectations, educating customers on products and effectively negotiating product pricing.
• Unloads, stocks and rotates products to ensure appropriate inventory levels.
• Proactively seeks and acquires new business opportunities.
• Remains informed of competition within territory and notifies supervisor on competitive situations regarding new products, selling tactics and pricing.
• Sets up product displays and equipment at local festivals and company sponsored events.
• Other duties as assigned.

BREW THE PERFECT CUP. Ideal candidates will meet the following requirements.

• High school diploma/GED.
• A minimum of one year of overall sales experience, direct store delivery (DSD) route sales desirable; consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Passionate, high energy self-starter with competitive drive.
• Effective communication skills with ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of work, prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and/or hours outside the normal work schedule when needed.
