Job Description
Position Overview
The Service Cashier/Receptionist is responsible for processing payments for work completed, proper reconciliation of repair orders and parts invoices, and the collection of money from Repair and Parts Orders.
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, write, add, subtract, divide, and comprehend written instructions and information
Demonstrated customer service skills
Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred)
6+ months QuickBooks experience
6+ months Excel experience
Daily Activities
Inspect every service repair order and/or parts invoice for proper completion and accuracy
Reconcile the repair orders by entering the appropriate information into QuickBooks.
Calculate the materials charge applicable for each order
Calculate the taxes to be charged.
Collect the total retail charges from the customer in cash, check or authorized charge account
Provide the customer with the proper change and/or receipt
Deliver to the accounting department, all repair orders and parts invoices closed during the business day
File repair orders as directed by the office manager
Answer telephone, transfer calls to the appropriate people, and take messages when necessary.
Control and turn into the accounting office, any bills associated with the repair orders
Monitor the time clock and its employee data for accuracy
Reconcile the physical parts inventory to the QuickBooks information
Ensure that customer complaints are handled promptly, with genuine concern according to company guidelines
Report to management any situation or condition that jeopardized the safety, welfare, or integrity of the company, its employees, or customers
Perform any other administrative tasks as directed by management
