This is a direct hire position with a very well-established company in the food industry.

Hours: Monday - Friday 1st shift


Job Overview
Maintains production and quality by ensuring good operation of machines and mechanical equipment. Ensure the machines are working exactly as intended, and are free of defects or others issues that can affect the productivity or quality of finished good. Work as part of a team, frequently interacting with Leads and Quality department. The service mechanic has full responsibility for the proper preventive maintenance of the machines and mechanical/electric equipment installed in Production Room.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Production Mechanic must perform equipment setup, operation, equipment adjustments and preventative maintenance tasks to meet standards of safety, quality and efficiency
• Set up and verify the functionality of safety devices of machines
• Ability to identify any problems and troubleshoot the issue using their technical knowledge
• Maintain inventory of spare parts of our machines and equipment
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel
• Prepare production documents, like standard operating procedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, down time reports, or productivity reports
• Maintains log to record equipment usage and repairs
• Provide production, progress, or changeover reports whenever adjustments are made
• Install new equipment and test to make sure installation was done properly
• Clean production equipment and work areas
• Perform routine machine maintenance and repair damages
• Provide advice or training to other technicians
• Separate scrap or waste materials for recycling, reuse
• Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues
• Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects

Qualifications
• Associate’s Degree preferred
• High School diploma Required
• Strong Mechanical acumen
• Basic Computer Skills


Working Conditions
This individual will be working with machinery and tools to perform routine inspection and maintenance for all specific Production machines

Physical Requirements
Candidate must be able to stand for prolonged period of time as well as assist with lifting up to 50lbs
