Job Overview:

The Analyst – The Market at Macy’s, is responsible for overseeing successful vendor on-boarding and managing workflow and communication to ensure seamless execution of store level experience. Serves as first-level contact for vendors and store team concerns and maintains internal and vendor portal to streamline communication. Supports Director with vendor recruiting and on-going support of vendor needs Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Supports Director – The Market at Macy’s by creating regular and ad hoc reporting on Market revenue, vacancies, partner sales, and other customer metrics and shares reporting with internal and external business partners on regular basis.
• Performs basic analysis of reporting and makes recommendations on actions to improve performance.
• Identifies and suggests opportunities for reporting automation for all regular reports.
• Act as first contact for Market vendors, ensuring timely contract completion, vendor setup, payment of service fees, and completion of vendor tasks for successful onboarding. Regularly works through routine questions and concerns, and escalates those that require additional expertise to Director.
• Manages cross-functional efforts with visual, store design, and execution team to ensure all parties deliver critical needs on time to support vendor needs.
• Supports overall vendor recruiting efforts by customizing sell kits, scheduling webinars, and hosting individual calls with prospective vendors as needed.
• Prepares and publishes reporting and on-boarding information for Stores organization, and acts as first contact for any Store questions or concerns on execution.
• Creates price changes and signs as needed for partners.
• Manages marketing process for overall Market campaigns and ad hoc vendor advertising.
• Help supervisor develop cohesive presentations for Senior Management and other stakeholders to make data insightful and actionable.
• Manages vendor shortage claims and partners with Director on appropriate action.
• Manages changes in merchandise hierarchy based on direction from Director.
• Coordinates regular maintenance of internal and vendor portals, auditing existing information, recommending updates and deletions, ensuring that new content is posted timely and pushed out to key stakeholders when necessary.
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 3+ years financial analysis, project management, or other similar experience.

Communication Skills:

• Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with officers and senior management of collaboration and lease partner companies.
• Initiates and builds relationships with key internal stakeholders, including Finance, MIO, and accounting.

Reasoning Ability:

• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
• Results-oriented and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.

Other Skills:

• Advanced MS application proficiency, especially Excel, Powerpoint, and Sharepoint.
• Ability to glean and synthesize information from a variety of sources.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional groups, delivering results with a very diverse group of contributors.

Work Hours:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
