Providence is calling a RN Diabetes Educator to Providence Medical Group in Everett, WA.

This is a 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week; variable shift) and benefits eligible position.

* Please Note: This position will require the flexibility to support occasional evening and weekend shifts to facilitate diabetes education classes.

We are seeking Registered Nurse (RN) who is caring, patient focused to provide education and support to diabetes patients and patients and their families.

In this position you will:

* Serve as a nursing role model, teacher and coach.

* Provide nutrition and diabetes education to outpatients of all ages, educational and socioeconomic backgrounds.

* Serve as a clinical resource to nursing staff.

* May program manage the recognized Diabetes Education Program. Work with interdisciplinary team to obtain and maintain diabetes education recognized program according to national standards.

Required qualifications for this position include:

* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

* Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Washington State

* Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)

* Experience as an RN in a hospital setting

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
