Job Title: IT Help Desk Technician
Reports to: IT Help Desk Manager
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan
Education: Associates degree in Information Technology or related study.  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or currently enrolled is preferred
Certifications: None required, but A+, Microsoft Basic, Network+ is a BIG plus
Experience: Willing to train, but1+ year IT Help Desk or Quick Service Restaurant/Retail experience is highly preferred
Requirements:  High level of customer service, knowledge of IT software, ability to provide phone and in-person IT software and hardware support, proficient with business software.  Must have a clean, valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Over-the-phone (primarily) and on-site repair of all Point-of-Sale (POS) Equipment, kitchen video monitors and controllers, network devices, and drive-thru communication systems.
  • Troubleshooting and addressing tickets for time keeping the software, and other business software.
  • Support for order confirmation displays, wireless controllers, headsets, speakers, microphones, and other order processing equipment.
  • Back office computer, printer/fax & battery backup support for the restaurants.
  • Assist with other internal IT projects including planning, deploying and maintaining point-of-sale systems and corporate office servers; workstations; software including any or all other technology that enables our restaurants to operate efficiently.
  • Thorough and accurate documentation for all Help Desk calls or on-site repairs.
  • Document common fixes for self-help/knowledge base


WORKING CONDITIONS:

Working in an office environment, this role will involve extensive periods of time using a computer, or in a meeting space. Occasional on-site work in the restaurant, including all areas where technology needs support.
